PRR 4876, GG-1, 1965 |
Description: |
WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 28 March 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #4876 and #4922. Both are GG-1's built in Juniata; #4876 was built during January of 1939, but #4922 was built during August of 1942. They are idling-away on the Locomotive Ready Tracks across from HARRIS Tower, just West of the Harrisburg Passenger Station. |
