Here is page nine of a ten-page article by Alan B. Chesley & Tony Koester entitled "The Enduring GG1." It was published originally in the December 1975 issue of "Railroad Model Craftsman" magazine, page 60. Caption For All Photos: "Air intake grilles for the traction motor/transformer cooling blowers of 4801-4938 were at first flush with Loewy-styled sides as on 4927 (top), but later got 'rim' and were finally moved up adjacent to pan due to snow ingestion problems."
