Description:
7th Street. Here is fn original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 08 March 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #7070, #9766-B, and #9650-B. All were built by EMD. #7070 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #9766-B and #9650-B are EF-15A's rated at 1,500 horsepower each; #9766-B was built in 1951, but #9650-B was built in 1950. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train ulder the 7th Bridge on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West.

PRR 9656, EF-15A, 1965
Description:
8th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 14 February 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9656, #9650-B, and #9778. All are EF-15A's built by EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9656 and #9650-B were built in 1950, but #9778 was built in 1951. They are about to pass under the 8th Street Bridge into the Westbound Receiving Yard with a 94-car mixed-cargo freight train and N-8 caboose #478169.
