Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8585, an ES-15MS boiler-equipped road switcher built by GM-EMD in September of 1953 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. The numbers of the two PRR passenger coaches are not recorded. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-51). |
