"Railfans' Saturday Night," Page 32, 1946 |
Description: |
Here is page two of a seven-page article by D.W. Yungmeyer entitled "Railfans' Saturday Night." It was published originally in the February 1946 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 32. Notable here is a track diagram of the four railroads servicing Englewood Union Station: New York Central, Nickel Plate, Pennsylvania, and Rock Island. Prominent in the photo is Nickel Plate engine #170, a Class L-1A (4-6-4) built by the American Locomotive Company in February of 1927 and presently on display at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri. |
