Title:
PRR 9832, EFP-15, 1954
Description:
FM. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of a photo by Fred McLeod that was taken near Emporium, Pennsylvania. Photo Caption: "Triple unit, all service, Electro-Motive diesel gliding leisurely south of Emporium, with Buffalo-Washington train. Summer, 1954." Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9832 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9832 is an EFP-15 constructed in April of 1952. This photo comes from a slide set entitled "Horseshoe Curve, Pennsylvania Railroad" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (22-72).
