"Pennsy Photo Section," Page 36, 2001
Here is a photo by Philip R. Hastings. It was included in a six-page camera study entitled "Pennsy Photo Section" that was published originally in the August 2001 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 36. Partial Caption: "For the Chicago Railroad Fair of 1949, this locomotive ~ in reality, No. 8063 ~ was given the number of a famous sister, engine 7002. In 1905, the 7002 made headlines with an ultra-fast run across western Ohio on the crack 'Pennsylvania Special.' The 7002 was cut up in 1934, so 8063 was given her identity for the Fair." It's presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.
