"Sunnyside Yard," Page 17, 1948
Here is page eight of a 16-page cover story by William L. Rohde entitled "Sunnyside Yard." It was published originally in the May 1948 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 17. Visible in the upper right-hand corner of the photo is the Empire State Building (ESB), located across the East River in the Borough of Manhattan. The "Seaboard speedster" in the foreground is actually heading toward the ESB, which is only a couple of blocks away from Pennsylvania Station in Manhattan.
