NS 610, RP-M4C, 2014 |
Description: |
Everyday. Here is an original 35mm color slide by Doug Boyd that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in March of 2014. Shown here (R to L) are Norfolk Southern Railroad engine #610 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. In this context, they're about to cross Bedford Street and enter the Hollidaysburg Yards with a mixed-cargo freight train. This stretch of track is actually the original right-of-way for the Allegheny Portage Railroad, active between 1834 and 1856. |
