Description:  Here is page two of a 13-page article by William Moedinger, Jr., entitled "East Broad Top." It was published originally in the August 1941 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 5. Partial Caption: "No. 2, the morning mixed train from Mount Union to Woodvale, assaults the steepest grade on the East Broad Top's main line, just north of Tunnel No. 1." Shown here is EBT engine #17, a narrow-gauge "Mikado" (2-8-2) built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1918.

Description:  Here is page five of a 13-page article by William Moedinger, Jr., entitled "East Broad Top." It was published originally in the August 1941 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 8. Top Right-Hand Photo, Partial Caption: "Nos. 16, 17, and 18 are the road's three heaviest Mikados." Engine #17 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1918. Bottom Photo Captions: "Robertsdale station agent R.D. Potts is one of the youngest employees. He waits here with mail for [Train] No. 3. Gas-electric car M-1 substitutes for the mixed trains when mines are closed, and can pull trailer or box cars."

Description:  EBT. Here is an original photo that I took of East Broad Top Railroad property in Rockhill Furnace, Pennsylvania, on 18 August 1960. Shown here is a partial view of the locomotive turntable and roundhouse. EBT engines #17 and #18 are being serviced in the Roundhouse, while caboose #27 sits in static display in front of one of the stalls.
