Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4838, #4840, #4846, and #4828. All are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics built in Juniata and rated at 4,620 horsepower each. All were built during 1935: #4838 in July, #4840 in April, #4846 in May, and #4828 in June. All of their pantographs are in the "up" position. (Tchowee"; #9 of 27) |
