Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4913, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during January of 1942, rated at 4,620 horsepower, served into the Amtrak era as number "913," and presently on display at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It's pulling one of the PRR's "Congressionals" past Waverly Yard. ("Stoneborobranch"; #4 of 11)

Caption On Reverse: "One of Pennsylvania Railroad's famous GG-1 electric locomotives is ready to leave the Newark, N.J., station for Philadelphia, Pa., and other points south along the mainline. October 8, 1956. This locomotive was placed on display at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pa., in the early 1980's. Electrified. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Wilmington, Delaware, on 21 June 1962. CCC. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide that was taken at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad N-5 cabin car #477577, built on these very grounds in June of 1929 ~ some 65 years before! Partially visible in the background is PRR engine #4913, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata during January of 1942 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded.

BWCX. Here is an image of the first of two successive photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 2018. Shown here is the ex-Berwind-White steam locomotive called "Nancy" that was built by Vulcan in 1918 and retired in 1964, having served the BWCX Car Shops in Hollidaysburg for 46 years. It's been moved inside ~ but the ravages of having been outside in the elements for many years are quite evident.
