Coal Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Charles E. Spragg that was taken at Broadway Station in Camden, New Jersey, on 27 December 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2897, an H-9S built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during November of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-8SB, rebuilt as an H-9S in August of 1923, and retired in October of 1957 after 47 years of faithful service.

Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Camden, New Jersey, c. 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2897, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8SB during November of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in August of 1923, and retired in October of 1957 after 47 years of faithful service. Description:
Blackhawk. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by William K. Viekman that was taken in Camden, New Jersey, in 1957. Photo Caption: "Pennsylvania K-4's Nos. 920 and 3747 and H-9s No. 2897, at Camden, N.J., 1957." #920 and #3747 are both K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata: #920 was built in during July of 1917 and retired in 1959, while #3747 was built during March of 1920 and retired in November of 1957. #2897 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8SB during November of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in August of 1923, and retired in October of 1957. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Steam Power ~ East and West" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (816-13).
