Marianchuk. Here is a photo by Jake W. Wolf that was taken at Union Station in Washington, DC, in July of 1929. Excerpts From Caption On Reverse: "Photo of the Inaugural Run of 'The Senator,' Washington to Boston. Article written by reporter appeared in the July 28, 1929, edition of the 'Washington Evening Star.' Charles Blardone Collection." Partially visible here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5401, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during January of 1927 and retired in September of 1956 after 29 years of faithful service.
