Title:
PRR 9356, GS,4, 1956
Description:
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Roundhouse in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 25 March 1956. The photographer is not identified. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9356, a GS-4 switcher built by General Electric in August of 1949, rated at 380 horsepower, and retired in June of 1964 after just 15 years of revenue service. In this context, it's either pushing or towing an unidentified P-5A (2-C-2) electric engine. ("LouisFols"; #38 of 38)
