Blairsville. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, in July of 1969. Prominent here are three Penn Central Maintenance-of-Way crew residence cars, still sporting their "PRR" identification numbers. Note the television aerial atop the second car. Also visible on the right is the long-abandoned coaling tipple which was constructed in "A.D. 1918," over 50 years ago! |
