MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken near Marysville, Pennsylvania, on 20 October 1957. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #97=0 and two "Shark" B-units whose road numbers are not recorded. #9700 is a BF-15A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in April of 1950 and retired in February of 195 after just 15 years of revenue service. This A-B-B set has just crossed the Susquehanna River via the Rockville Bridge with a mixed-cargo freight train on its way to Altoona and points West. ("Stoneborobranch"; #45 of 56) |
