PRR 869, H-9S, c. 1948         
Here is an original photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #869, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during February of 1911, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in December of 1923, and retired in April of 1949 after 26 years of service. Note that the bell, headlight, and main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded.
