MNCR. Here is an original photo that I took of a Metro-North Commuter Railroad train in Larchmont, New York, on 15 July 1985. Shown here (L to R) are MNCR engines #2014 and another unit whose number is not recorded. #2014 is an FL-9 built by EMD in 1960. It is pulling an early-morning commuter train through the Larchmont Station to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Note the "New Haven" style catenary. |
