Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 15 May 1965. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6008 and #6030. Both are EF-25A's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #6008 was built in March of 1965 while #6030 was built one month later. They're pulling a 137-car mixed-cargo freight train through the Tyrone Station on its way to Enola and points East. Partially visible in the background is the Pedestrian Overpass. |
