| Altoona Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1960. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5597 and #5595. Both are BS-7M switchers built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in May of 1950 and rated at 750 horsepower each. Local railroaders referred to this oft-coupled pair as "Ike & Mike." |
