EV 1828, GP16, 2015 |
Description: |
Everyday. Here is an original 35mm color slide by Doug Boyd that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in March of 2015. Shown here (R to L) are Everett Railroad Company engines #1828 and 1712. Both are GP16's built by GM-EMD. This very location was once the "Exchange Place" between the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal coming from the right and the Allegheny Portage Railroad extending to the left, up and over the eastern slope of the Allegheny Mountains visible in the distance. |
