Ribbon Railing, #3 of 6, 1984
Title:  Ribbon Railing, #3 of 6, 1984
Description:  Ribbon. Here is the third of six successive original photos that I took at the Passenger Station in Larchmont, New York, on 29 August 1984. Prominent here is Amtrak engine #915, an AEM7 built by GM-EMD in January of 1981 and rated at 7,000 horsepower. In this context, it's pulling a five-car passenger train out of Pennsylvania Station in New York City to Stamford, New Haven, and Boston. This locomotive is presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.
