Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken at Sunnyside Yard in Long Island City, New York, in 1970. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Penn Central No. 4898, Class GG-1, Sunnyside, L.I., N.Y., 1970." PC engine #4898 is a GG1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata by the Pennsylvania Railroad number "4898" during May of 1940 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. Partially visible in the distance is the Empire State Building in Manhattan. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Electric Railroading ~ Penn Central and Pennsylvania Lines" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (868-23).
