Title:
PRR 1522, EF-15A, c. 1967
Description:
French. Here is an original photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1522 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #1522 is an EF-15A constructed as number "9822" in May of 1951, rated at 1,500 horsepower, renumbered "1522" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger, and retired in October of 1967 after 16 years of service. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. Partially visible in the background is an obsolete coaling tipple.
