Here is a steam locomotive portrait by D.W. Eldridge that was taken in Peoria, Illinois, on 23 May 1948. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8019, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8C in March of 1912, rebuilt as an H-10S in September of 1915, and retired in September of 1955 after 43 years of faithful service.
