Title:
PRR 9454, FF-16, 1963
Description:
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Enola Engine House in Enola, Pennsylvania, c. 1963. Prominent here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9454 and #9526. #9454 is an FF-16 built by Fairbanks-Morse in September of 1950, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in April of 1965. #9526 is an EF-15 built by GM-EMD in July of 1948, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in September of 1965. This is a wife's-eye-view of railroading. "Bye, Dearie, have a good day. Don't forget about tonight!" Produced and distributed by FJC Products of Newport, Delaware. ("LouisFols"; #29 of 31)
