Description:
Prevosto. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Modena, Pennsylvania, c. 1949. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1080, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata during September of 1923 and retired in July of 1949 after 26 years of faithful service. Note that the bell, headlight, power reverse, smokebox number plate, and the main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping.
