Description:
Here is page two of a 22-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "A Pictorial Review Of Progress On The Pennsylvania." It was issued originally in March of 1953. Partial Caption: "New and repaired freight cars rolling to service." Pictured in the foreground is PRR engine #6816, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959. Partially visible at the right is PRR engine #9576, a BF-15 constructed by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in December of 1963.

Description:
Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by J. David Ingles that was taken in Detroit, Michigan, in June of 1961. Photo Caption: "Baldwin RF-16 #2002, 1600-hp, at Detroit, Mich." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2022 and #9576. Engine #2022 is a BF-16 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in March of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in January of 1967. Engine #9576 is a BF-15 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in December of 1963. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-25).
