Shown here is Penn Central engine #4219, an E7A built by GM-EMD for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "5859" in February of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and renumbered "4219" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. "Fill 'er up, Mack, and make it snappy!" (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
