Altoona. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken from the 17h Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1963. Shown here are the Pennsylvania Railroad's Locomotive Ready Tracks. Among the more than two dozen diesel-electric locomotives pictured here is engine #7031, an EFS-17M road switcher built by GM-EMD in November of 1955 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. Altoona. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken from the 17h Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1963. Parked in the Pennsylvania Railroad's Locomotive Ready Tracks is engine #9730, a BF-16 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in February of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. Altoona. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken from the 4th Street Footbridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1963. Shown here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's Westbound Forwarding Yard. At the left, four unidentified diesel-electric locomotives built by GM-EMD are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train out of the Yard and up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
