Ayers' Family Fun, 1952
AHC. Seated on the base of the old flagpole are four members of the Ayers Family of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Facing the camera (L to R) are Nancy Virginia, Lois Rachel, James Lloyd, and Thomas Carl. This photo was taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve ~ near Altoona, Pennsylvania ~ during the Summer of 1952. In the background, an A-B-A trio of GM-EMD EH-15 helper engines drifts back down to Altoona to pick-up another train to pull or push up the Allegheny Mountains.
