PRR 5533, T-1, 1946         
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Chicago, Illinois, on 27 August 1946. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5533, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in April of 1946 and retired in December of 1953 after just seven years of service. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck. Gary Mittner Collection.
