PRR 1000, "Aerotrain," 1956
Aerotrain. Here is an image of a photo that was taken in Marysville, Pennsylvania, in 1956. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. It's just crossed the Rockville Bridge (visible in the left distance), and is heading to Altoona on its daily sojourn from New York City to Pittsburgh and back. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded. Edward Kaspriske Collection.
