PRR 9989, H-10S, #2 of 2, 1956         
Here is the second of two successive photos by John S. Fisher that were taken in Sandusky, Ohio, in November of 1956. Caption On Reverse: "PRR H-10 Consolidation at Sandusky, Ohio, engine terminal. Nov. 1956." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9989, an H-10S built in Juniata as Vandalia H-8C number "419" during February of 1912, rebuilt by Vandalia as H-8SC number "361" in September of 1916, renumbered PRR "8824" in 1917, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in November of 1920, renumbered "9889" in 1951, later renumbered "9989," and retired in August of 1957 after 45 years of faithful service.
