PRR 4616, I-1SA, 1956         
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Philip R. Hastings that was taken near Locust Gap, Pennsylvania, on 14 September 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4616, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in February of 1937, and retired in August of 1959 after 36 years of faithful service. Produced and distributed by FJC Products of Newport, Delaware. (For full story, click on "Album" below.)
