PRR 3197, H-8S, 1916         
Classics. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Baltimore, Maryland, on 29 August 1916. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3197, an H-8S built in Juniata as an H-8 during January of 1907, rebuilt as an H-8S in October of 1912, rebuilt as an H-9S in March of 1923, and retired in October of 1956 after 49 years of faithful service. Note the Fireman on the tender's deck. "Fill 'er up, Mack!" (Gift of Brad Mann.)
