Portraits 6. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via F.R. Kern that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, c. 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8700, a B-6S (0-6-0) switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a B-6 during June of 1913, rebuilt in Juniata as a B-6S in August of 1926, and retired in January of 1950 after 37 years of faithful service.
