Portraits 4. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via F.R. Kern. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9401, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8B during 1907, rebuilt as an H-10S in September of 1917, renumbered "9953" in December of 1949, and retired in October of 1956 after 39 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (#15 of 40)
