Portraits 3. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via Bert Pennypacker that was taken at the Engine House in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, on 6 July 1952. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6704, #3159, #2370, and two more locomotives whose numbers are not recorded. #6704 is an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1930 and retired in June of 1959. #3159 is an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" constructed in Juniata during October of 1915 and retired in September of 1952. #2370 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8B during November of 1911, rebuilt as an H-8SB in September of 1915, rebuilt as an H-9S in March of 1919, and retired in November of 1955.
