MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred R. Kern that was taken near Summerdale, Pennsylvania, on 10 March 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6793, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Lima Locomotive Works during April of 1930 and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. It's about to enter the Enola Yards with a mixed-cargo freight train. The names of the two railfans at the left are not recorded. ("Stoneborobranch"; #37 of 56) |
