Craig Staufer's "T-1 On The Curve," Pages 32-33, 1996          
Here is a painting by Mr. Craig Staufer entitled "T-1 On The Curve." It was published originally in the Summer 1996 issue of "Keystone" magazine, pages 32-33. Artist's Caption: "On a warm day in May 1942, T-1 #6111 works its way around Horseshoe Curve on her maiden voyage. The midday sun reflects brightly off the fresh paint as she flexes her muscles to climb the grade." Depicted here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6111, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during May of 1942 and retired in December of 1953 after just 11 years of revenue service.
