Here is page four of a five-page article by David P. Morgan entitled "Railroading Without Precedent." It was published originally in the February 1951 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 39. Left Photo Caption: "The K-4s is pulling the 'Golden Arrow' out of Detroit in the days before the Pennsy was a major diesel user." Shown here is PRR engine #3877, a K-4S (4-6-2) built in Juniata during June of 1923 and retired in April of 1956. Right Photo Caption: "PRR Class EF-3 diesel, a three-unit EMD F-7 freighter, is over the pit at the Nelson Road (Columbus) quonset hut engine house on a rainy summer night." Shown here is PRR engine #9673, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD in June of 1949 and rated at 1,500 horsepower.
