PRR 858, H-9S, 1946         
Huntingdon. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Bill Price that was taken near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 7 October 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #858, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8B in November of 1911, rebuilt as an H-8SB during November of 1913, rebuilt as an H-9S in September of 1918, and retired in February of 1960 after 49 years of faithful service.
