Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1959. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "PRR-Altoona Works #3907, 500-hp, at Philadelphia, Pa." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3907, an A-6B switcher built in Altoona during June of 1930, rated at 500 horsepower, and retired by 1962 after 32 years of groundbreaking service. It's the PRR's first true diesel-electric locomotive! This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-1).
