Here is the second of two successive original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken in Fernwood, Pennsylvania, on 10 June 1949. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad "Consolidated" (2-8-0) engines #8259 and #3097. #8259 is an H-10S built by the American Locomotive Company during August of 1916 and retired in February of 1959. #3097 is an H-9S built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during December of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in June of 1917, and retired in December of 1954.
