PRR Switcher, c. 1948
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of a Pennsylvania Railroad "B" Class (0-6-0) steam locomotive shifting a "Doodlebug" at the PRR Passenger Station in Reading, Pennsylvania, c. 1948. Mr. Roger Radbill notes that "According to Form MP229 dated July 1, 1949, there was only one Motor Car on the Eastern Region, Eastern Pennsylvania Division, Philadelphia Division: #4661, an OEG350, which is what the type is in the photo." The action is framed by Reading's Penn Street Bridge. Roy Healey Collection; #11 of 11.
