PRR 6579, C-1, c. 1948         
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6579, a C-1 (0-8-0) switcher built in Juniata during July of 1925 and retired in February of 1949 after 24 years of faithful service. Note that the bell, headlight, and main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. The exact date and the location are not recorded. Roy Healey Collection; #10 of 11.
