Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #539, a B-8 (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during May 1907 and retired in April of 1949 after 42 years of faithful service. Note that the bell, headlight, valve housing group, and main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. The exact date and the location are not recorded.
