Here are pages six and seven of a 16-page booklet entitled "Pennsylvania Railroad System: Altoona Works." It was issued in conjunction with a "Visit of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers: October 5-7, 1925." Right Photo Caption: "Locomotive Test Plant ~ Altoona Machine Shops." Shown here is PRR engine #387, an H-8SB (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8S in June of 1909, rebuilt as an H-8SB in December of 1912, and retired in December of 1955 after 46 years of faithful service.
